Yesterday\u00c2\u00a0I received\u00c2\u00a0a Raspberry Zero W<\/strong>, that for approximately $10 include\u00c2\u00a0Wifi and Bluetooth (byebye dongles) but no Ethernet port.<\/p>\n

This post contains the instructions for configuring the Raspberry Pi Zero W so that he connects to the wifi network at the first startup of Linux, without wasting time (after that, you can log on via SSH).<\/p>\n

  1. Download Jessie Lite image from the official repository<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0(5 min)<\/li>\n
  2. Download Etcher<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0and burn the image on SD card (5 min)<\/li>\n
  3. Insert the SD card in your notebook and open the\u00c2\u00a0boot<\/strong> folder of the SD Card<\/li>\n
  4. Create an (empty) file called ssh<\/strong> (this enable SSH on startup)<\/li>\n
  5. Create a wpa_supplicant.conf<\/strong> file with the following content<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    network={\r\n    ssid=\"YOUR_WIFI_SSID\"\r\n    psk=\"YOUR_WIFI_PASSWORD\"\r\n    key_mgmt=WPA-PSK\r\n}<\/code><\/pre>\n
    Insert the SD in your Raspberry Pi Zero W, attach the power USB, connect your computer to the wifi, scan the network to find the raspberry IP address (i use lanscan<\/a> on OSX) and you can connect via SSH<\/strong> (the default password is raspberry)<\/p>\n
